Community Hub / Multi Purpose Recreational Facility

The City of Elliot Lake continues to pursue a new multipurpose recreational complex to replace the aging facilities if the community pool, arena and recreation centre (Collins Hall) and the local curling club.

The estimated cost of the new facility is $40.1 million and would only occur with significant assistance of both levels of senior government (federal and provincial cost sharing).

A recent high level overview was presented to City Council in January 2018. The pdf of the presentation is availble by clicking here.

More updates are planned for this page shortly.

Over the past 18 months, the City of Elliot Lake and its lead consultants, Colliers International have been studying and refining feasibility plans. The objectives are to determine the best fit for a new multipurpose recreational complex including uses, faciltiies, locations and costs.
