If you updated your information with Elections Ontario for the provincial election (June 7, 2018), you still need to update your information with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) for this election. These are two separate lists. Revisions to the voters' list begin on September 3, 2018.

You can add your name to the voters' list on Election Day, but you should do this in advance to save time.

    What to bring with you

Bring your government issued photo ID or bring a piece of mail with your name and address on it. Try to bring government or bank issued mail.

Some voters will be asked to make a declaration of qualification. This ensures the integrity of voting. Election workers can ask you for this even if you are on the voters' list.

    Voting by proxy

You can appoint someone to vote for you if can't make it to the polls to vote in person or vote in advance. Your proxy must be eligible to vote.

You can get proxy voting forms from the City Clerk's Office after July 30, 2018. You must get your proxy voting form certified by the City Clerk during regular office hours.

The deadline to get your proxy form certified is 4:30 p.m. on Election Day.
