The Elliot Lake Fire Department will be conducting Live Fire Training Drills at the Elliot Lake Airport beginning today until Sunday, October 4th. This training may cause some smoke to enter the air and be visible around the airport area.

Starting today, Thursday October 1, 2026, the City of Elliot Lake will be implementing a scheduled Water Main Flushing for Lakeview area every Tuesdays and Thursdays to try and resolve the low chlorine residual issue.

The City of Elliot Lake will be conducting a scheduled Water Main Flushing in the Neighbourhood 1 which includes Spruce Ave. and inner streets, Central Ave and inner streets as well as could potentially affect the downtown core.

Please be advised that all bacteriological samples taken in this area have returned from the laboratory showing no evidence of contamination.

We have notified the Algoma Health unit and as a result, the boil water advisory issued for this location is now rescinded.

The water service in this area will be shut off tomorrow, Wednesday September 23, 2026 at approximately 8AM for an emergency water main break repair.
